This blog is a personal reflection of the past seven years of my role as a mother and director of dance company. The blog is an artistic expression of my personal views and opinions and does not reflect the views of project donors, project funders, my employer Safos Dance Theatre, or the views of my colleagues, mentors, or teachers. The content on this blog is, by design, dynamic and may in fact change over time. Personal opinions, ideas, and the like, may evolve during the course of the blog and the MPA project. Readers are interacting with the information provided on the blog of their own free will and at their own risk.
I encourage supportive and insightful feedback and comments regarding issues surrounding artist parents. Positive, insightful, and thoughtful comments are welcomed and appreciated. Private emails, messages, testimonies, and tweets received regarding the project will become ownership of the MPA project and may be used for reproduction in future blogs, social media posts, or grant reports. I am not responsible or will be held liable for any of the public comments posted in the blog. Comments deemed negative or inappropriate are not acceptable and may be removed. The purpose of this blog is to provide a safe space for artist mothers, artists parents, working mothers, Latinxs, and fellow women and dancers of color and a platform for discussion.
